Narendra Modi is a great legend of Indian political history. Narendra Modi's full name is "Narendra Damodardas Modi". People know him directly by the name of Narendra Modi. He was born on 17 September 1950 in Gujarat. Narendra Modi's political career and popularity among people is amazing. His political career started from Gujarat itself. Narendra Modi has been the Chief Minister of Gujarat for 14 years. From 2001 to 2014, Narendra Modi served as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Narendra Modi is the Prime Minister of India since 2014 and currently continues to be the Prime Minister. He has been the Chief Minister of Gujarat and a member of the Varanasi Legislative Assembly. He is the first Prime Minister of India who is a member of another party from the Indian National Congress. So far a member of the Indian National Congress has been elected as the Prime Minister of India. It is a key member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He joined the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) at the age of eight. He left home after completing his high school. Narendra Modi arranged the marriage with Jashodaben Chimanlal. In 1971, Narendra Modi joined the RSS for the entire time. He worked for RSS for a long time.
 In 2001, Narendra Modi was elected as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Before him, the Chief Minister of Gujarat was Keshubhai Patel. Due to the deteriorating health of Keshubhai Patel and poverty and deteriorating situation due to an earthquake in Bhuj, he was elected to the post of Chief Minister. His administration was hardened by the 2002 Gujarat riots. He was criticized at the time because of these riots. Narendra Modi joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 1985 and started working for the party. He held several positions in the party. Narendra Modi was also the secretary of the party.

In 2014, the Narendra Modi-led party contested the Lok Sabha elections and won this election with heavy votes. The party had an absolute majority with 282 seats. This unprecedented success of the party under the leadership of Narendra Modi had taken everyone by surprise. Earlier, due to Narendra Modi's work, he was elected as Chief Minister by the people of Gujarat four times. From 2001 to 2014, Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. The BJP got a majority in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and Narendra Modi was elected as the Prime Minister. Seeing the work of Narendra Modi, the public gave him full support in the year 2019 and the party once again got an absolute majority in the Lok Sabha elections. Narendra Modi has been elected as Prime Minister for the second consecutive time. Currently, Narendra Modi is among the most popular and powerful leaders of the country.

Early life of Narendra Modi: -

Narendra Modi's early life was difficult and challenging. Born in a middle-class family, Narendra Modi, fighting the circumstances and challenges, gave himself an identity among the people. He was born on 17 September 1950 in a middle-class Gujarati family. He was born in Badnagar village of Maheshana district in Bombay (present-day Gujarat). His mother's name is Hiraben and father Damodar Das Modi. During his childhood, during the war of Indo-Pakistan, he served the soldiers travelling at railway stations. He had contributed a lot in his father's job of selling tea. Narendra Modi did his schooling in Badnagar. He participated in anti-corruption movements. He joined the RSS at a young age. He received his MSc degree in Political Science from Gujarat University in 1980. Narendra Modi was interested in debates and drama competitions since childhood.
He was very interested in political science. At the age of 13, he got engaged to Jashodaben Chaman Lal and they got married at the age of 17 only. They were married but did not live together. Narendra Modi left the house after a few years of marriage. When he was studying university, he used to regularly visit the RSS branch. He showed his activism in politics from the beginning.

 Born on 17 September 1950, Narendra Modi is from a Gujarati family. His family lives in Badnagar village of Mahesana district. His family is quite large. His mother's name is Hiraben Modi and his father's name is Damodardas Moolchand Modi. Their family is a middle-class family. Narendra Modi's family is from Medh-Ghanchi-Teli community. Narendra Modi was the third of 6 children of his parents. In childhood, he ran a tea shop with his elder brother and father. Narendra Modi's elder brothers are Som Bhai Modi and Amrita Modi. His younger brother is Prahad Modi.

In 1971, he became a full-time member of the RSS. In 1985, he joined the BJP and served in several party posts. He has also been the secretary of the BJP. Narendra Modi was interested in political programs since the beginning. He joined the RSS as a child. He also became a full-time member of RSS. His increasing success in politics made him the secretary of the BJP. He was also made Union Minister on behalf of the party. His political career continued to flourish. He served as the Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014. The flight did not stop here in his politics. He was elected Prime Minister in 2014. In 2019, the public again crowned him Prime Minister.

 Narendra Modi as a member of RSS: -

Narendra Modi's political career started only after joining the RSS. He joined the RSS at the age of 8. While studying in college, he started attending RSS programs regularly. Narendra Modi did a lot of work for the RSS. In 1971, he became a full-time member of the RSS. He participated in RSS movements and rallies. In 1975, when Indira Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India, declared an emergency in the country, she had to hide for some time. In 1978, Modi became the RSS division pracharak of Surat and Varanasi. In 1979 he moved to RSS Delhi. In 1985, he joined BJP. In 1986, LK Advani became the President of the BJP and Modi was given a good place in the party. In 1987, Modi was elected the party's secretary.

 Narendra Modi as Chief Minister of Gujarat: -

In 2001, the then Chief Minister of Gujarat was Keshubhai Patel, whose health was slowly deteriorating. At the same time, after the BJP lost some seats in the state, the party was now looking for a new candidate for the post of Chief Minister. Keshubhai Patel was charged with corruption and poor governance. Narendra Modi was then elected to the post of Chief Minister in place of Keshubhai Patel. At that time, LK Advani and Atal Bihari Vajpayee raised concerns about whether Modi was fully ready as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Thus on 7 October 2001, Modi was sworn in as Chief Minister. Won election to Gujarat State Legislature in 2002 from Rajkot-II constituency. He defeated Arashin Mehta of Congress by 14,728 votes.
